Executive Director - Bob Gallagher

Bob Gallagher founded the West/Rhode Riverkeeper organization in March 2005 after 35 years of practicing law in Washington, D.C. He served as Riverkeeper until July 2007 and currently serves as Executive Director. As Executive Director, he is responsible for the overall direction of the organization and participates directly in policy development and advocacy. He serves as a trustee of the Chesapeake Environmental Protection Association and sits on the board of directors of the Scenic Rivers Land Trust. He was appointed by the County Executive to the Maritime Industry Advisory Board and by the County Council to the Impact Fee Advisory Committee. He enjoys sailboat racing on the Chesapeake and lives with his wife, Cate, in Shady Side.

Riverkeeper - Chris Trumbauer

Originally from Chestertown, Chris Trumbauer spent his childhood marveling at the natural wonders in and around the Chester River on Maryland's Eastern Shore. In college, he pursued his interest in science and nature and received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Maryland. For the past nine years, he has been a biologist for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, where he coordinated a state-wide water quality monitoring program. He previously served as Vice President of the South River Federation, as well as chairman of the Federation's River Committee. Chris was also a member of the Annapolis Environmental Commission from 2005 - 2008. When he's not on the job, he enjoys sailing, cycling, backpacking and spending time outdoors with his family. Chris currently lives with his wife and two-year old son in Annapolis.

Program Director - Amy Colhoun

Amy Colhoun has 10+ years of communications experience and a proven track record of increasing membership and cultivating donors for both non-profit organizations and a membership association. Amy most recently worked with the funding community as a Program Manager for the Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers. She coordinated quarterly meetings of the Environmental Funders Network through the Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers and coordinated and managed the first annual Chesapeake Bay Funders Forum. Amy also has expertise in event planning and professional presentations. As a resident of a family farm on the West and Rhode Rivers, Amy has a personal, and presently, a professional commitment to the conservation and restoration of the Bay.
